Food to go, set to grow and grow…

The Food To Go (FTG) market, as defined by the MCA, encompasses all foodservice channels and is set to grow by 3.0% to a value of £21.2bn in 2019*.  And, while speed of service is cited as the top need for FTG customers, good value and food quality are becoming increasingly important to them.

This is backed up by the IGD** who are forecasting FTG will be worth £23.5bn by 2022, and an MCA / HIM report*** predicts that the top three channels set to outperform the Eating Out market are FTG operators, coffee shops and food delivery focused operators.

So, what can operators do to jump on the FTG bandwagon?
